From coast to coast with NYOS Camerata

01.09.2025

NYOS Camerata perform on the east and west coast of Scotland this autumn.

Lammermuir Festival

On 8 September, NYOS’ premier chamber ensemble will give two performances of Max Richter’s Recomposed: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons at Lammermuir Festival. A singular reimaging of the iconic piece, Recomposed: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons captures the essence of the original and refracts it through a 21st century prism. The result is a luminous, kaleidoscopic musical experience. They will be joined by violin soloist Elena Urioste who famously appeared on the Deutsche Grammophon recording of Recomposed. Under the direction of Urioste, this promises to be an enchanting evening of music.

The Cumnock Tryst

NYOS Camerata make their triumphant return to The Cumnock Tryst on 4 October, performing Strauss’s beloved opera Der Rosenkavalier, arranged for wind ensemble by Nigel Shore. Opulent and elegant, the splendours of Strauss’ Old Vienna come to life under Catherine Larsen-Maguire’s direction. Take your seat and witness these fifteen talented wind players transform Strauss’s masterpiece into a musical journey that retains all the romance and wit of the original opera.
