NYOS Junior Orchestra Summer Concert

The summer programme will continue to feature music with a Scottish Connection, including Hamish MacCunn’s Land of the Mountain and the Flood and Claude Debussy’s Marche Écossaise.  NYOS Junior Orchestra will also revisit Edvard Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King, part of the BBC’s exciting 'Ten Pieces' initiative to open up the world of classical music to school children.

Holly, from New Zealand, is currently the Assistant Conductor of BBCSSO as well as the Leverhulme conducting fellow at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

John Maxwell Geddes: Dances at Threave

Claude Debussy: Marche Ecossaise sur un Thème Populaire (Scottish March on a Popular Theme)

Edvard Grieg: In the Hall of the Mountain King, Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op. 46
