Orchestra Auditions
Applications for our 2027 orchestras will open on Tuesday 18 August 2026 and close on Tuesday 13 October 2026.
If you're aged 11-22, playing an orchestral instrument at minimum Grade 5, and have a Scottish connection, you're eligible to join your national youth orchestra. To find out more about the application and audition process, click the link below.
Financial Assistance
No young person who is offered a place on a NYOS course should face financial barriers.
The NYOS Bursary Fund exists for participants who find it difficult to meet the costs of membership fees. In 2026, 50% of our orchestra participants received some form of bursary support.
