Applications Open | Ulster Orchestra Professional Experience Scheme

Applications for this year's Professional Experience Scheme with the Ulster Orchestra are now open!

The PES is designed for musicians who are studying/planning to study music at tertiary level or who have recently graduated and are considering a career as an orchestral musician. Three times between November 2026 and May 2027, PES students will travel to Belfast to join the Orchestra in rehearsals, receive support and feedback from a dedicated mentor within the Orchestra, and develop skills in auditioning, orchestral section playing, and specialist training with UO Animateur Jonathan Simmance.

There is no charge to participate and flights and accommodation are covered by the Ulster Orchestra.
