NYOS Concert Club | Galvanic Dances

We are thrilled to announce that the next NYOS Concert Club will be a visit to Glasgow's City Halls to see the BBC SSO perform Galvanic Dances alongside celebrated Scottish accordionist, Ryan Corbett.

This is a very exciting opportunity to see the piece that NYOS commissioned and premiered last year, and toured to Berlin, being performance by a BBC orchestra!

NYOS Concert Club is a chance for members of our community to come together and enjoy fantastic live music. Tickets are free and organised by NYOS, giving you a chance to see musicians and orchestras perform incredible classical music and to meet other passionate young musicians like yourselves.

Afternoon Performance: Galvanic Dances; Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet
Sunday 14 May 2026, 2:00pm (approx. run time of 2 hours and 20 minutes, including 20 minute interval)
City Halls, Glasgow

Join us for an afternoon performance by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and a programme that features Galvanic Dances, the piece NYOS premiered and toured to Berlin last year. The orchestra will be joined by accordionist Ryan Corbett for the performance, and the programme will also feature Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet and the UK premiere of The Rapids of Life by Outi Tarkiainen.

As this is an afternoon performance, we are delighted to invite NYOS musicians aged 11+ to attend this Concert Club.

Tickets are free and offered on a first come, first served basis.

Each person who signs up will be offered one ticket.

Young people under the age of 16 must be signed in and out of the concert by a parent/guardian. Those aged 16-17 are welcome to travel to/from the concert themselves if written permission is provided in advance by a parent/guardian.
