NYOS Futures & Drake Music Scotland's Digital Orchestra
Following the huge success of Drake Music Scotland and the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland collaboration "Same River Twice" in 2015 with composer Malcolm Edmonstone, musicians from these two organisations are coming together again to collaborate with Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Composer, Oliver Searle.
Drake Music Scotland's Digital Orchestra and NYOS Futures are working with Oliver Searle on a new commission, "Microscopic Dances" which will have its world premiere in the beautiful setting of The Tom Fleming Centre at Erskine Stewart's Melville School in Edinburgh on the 12th August following a residency with all of the musicians.
Oliver Searle has close connections to both organisations, and was nominated for a British Composer Award for "Technophonia", a previous commission working with Drake Music Scotland for the London Cultural Olympiad in 2012.
