The National Children's Orchestra of Scotland

The National Children's Orchestra of Scotland (NCOS), is NYOS' symphony orchestra for young musicians aged 8 to14.

NCOS provides an important means of early musical education and performing experience for the young musicians of Scotland, fortunately assured through support from Standard Life. NCOS's public concerts are often critically acclaimed and the committed and energetic performances given by its young members never fail to amaze and inspire audiences.

Auditions for NCOS are held annually in November. Many of the young musicians involved in NCOS go on to become members of The National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.
