NYOS announces new Chief Executive

The Chairman and Board of NYOS are delighted to announce that Joan Gibson is to be the next Chief Executive of NYOS. Joan is currently the Chief Executive of the National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS) and will be taking up the appointment at NYOS with effect from 1 May 2012.
Commenting on her new appointment Joan Gibson said, “I have been an avid supporter of NYOS for many years and am very excited at the prospect of working with the NYOS Board and Staff to support and develop young instrumental musicians across Scotland.”
Professor Marjorie Rycroft, Chairman of NYOS, said: “Joan is a most distinguished and highly respected Chief Executive with many years experience in youth music at national level. We very much look forward to working with her in developing and strengthening NYOS’ activities and reputation at home and abroad.”
Andrew Dixon, Chief Executive of Creative Scotland, welcomed the appointment of Joan Gibson; "Joan has made a transformational change to the National Youth Choir of Scotland, building partnerships and strategic development across the country.
